It’s been almost ten years, since the Liberatore name pulled on a Bulldogs Guernsey, with Tom making a strong impression on the selection committee during the pre season competition.

Also set to make their debut for the Club, Lukas Markovic, the athletic key-position player enjoying a terrific preparation for the 2011 season showing strong form in the VFL with Williamstown last year.

Mitch Wallis has also been named in the squad of 25 players to be cut to 22 on Friday.

Djerrkura, Sherman and Barlow are also named on the extended interchange bench for Sunday.

These positions opened up through the long term injury of Ryan Hargrave, and subsequent injuries to Brian Lake and Lindsay Gilbee.

Gilbee, with a slight hamstring strain has resulted in a later start to the season than expected.

Lake is likely to commence his return with a light hit out in the Williamstown Intra Club match at Whitten Oval on Friday and should put him into contention for selection in Round 2.

Hargrave has made pleasing progress and has commenced running.  He now faces two to three weeks of conditioning preparation to be ready in time for the Round 6 clash against Collingwood.
