Western Bulldogs midfielder Lachie Hunter has appeared in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today via video link, relating to three traffic-related charges.

Hunter pleaded guilty to drink driving, careless driving and leaving the scene of an accident without providing his details, in an incident which occurred in April this year.

He was fined $1000 and had his licence suspended for 12 months, however no conviction was recorded.

Following a club investigation into the matter at the time, Hunter stood down from his position as vice captain, was imposed a $5000 fine (with a further $15,000 in suspended fines), suspended for four AFL matches and required to undertake mandatory alcohol education and counselling.
