Brisbane Lions veteran Stefan Martin is a player of interest for the Western Bulldogs, as they look to add to their ruck stocks through the 2020 AFL Trade and Free Agency Period.

The 33-year-old played eight games for the Lions in 2020 – including their two finals – and is an unrestricted free agent.

Bulldogs’ list boss Sam Power said Martin would fill a need if they were able to secure him to partner with emerging big man Tim English.

“From our needs perspective, we’ve talked about adding another ruckman which we’re looking to do through this period,” Power told AFL Trade Radio on Friday.

“We’ve got some interest in Stef. Stef’s been a very, very good player for a long period of time.

“We’ve gone on record to say we need some more support and options in that position.

“There’s a process to go through with anyone you’re trying to bring into the football club, but there is some interest in Stef absolutely.”
