The Footscray Bulldogs will begin their 2021 VFL campaign against the Gold Coast Suns at VU Whitten Oval on Saturday morning.

A strong Bulldogs outfit will field 15 AFL-listed players, headlined by AFL vice-captain Mitch Wallis.

Off-season recruit Mitch Hannan will line up for the ‘Scray, while 2020 draftees Jamarra Ugle-Hagan and Dom Bedendo will also feature.

First-year captain Lachie Sullivan will lead the Bulldogs for the first time in an official match.

The new-look 2021 VFL competition features 22 teams from across Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

Gates will open at VU Whitten Oval at 10am for an 11.20am start on Saturday.

The match is ticketed – spectators must have a ticket to attend.
