The Western Bulldogs have produced a stunning final-quarter comeback against Carlton to record their seventh win of the 2021 season.

Trailing at the main break for the first time this year, the Bulldogs turned around a 27-point deficit to emerge 16-point victors in a 16.11 (107) to 13.13 (91) thriller at Marvel Stadium.

The Dogs started strong and looked in control early, but it didn't take long for the Blues to swing momentum in their favour.

Conceding five goals while only adding two of their own in the second, the Bulldogs were tested and knew they needed a response.

And that they did.

Josh Bruce was instrumental in the Dogs' foray, with his fourth major kickstarting a string of eight consecutive Bulldog goals.

Bruce finished with a bag of five and 11 marks, while fellow key forward Aaron Naughton contributed with two of his own - one of which put the Dogs in front halfway through the last.

Captain Marcus Bontempelli was inspiring (32 disposals, 10 clearances), while Jack Macrae (32 disposals), Bailey Dale (27) and Tom Liberatore (27, 13 clearances) were all influential.

Debutant Buku Khamis stood tall in defence, while 150-gamer Jason Johannisen had all the more reason to celebrate.

The Bulldogs will look to continue their winning form when they meet Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval next Saturday night.
