The AFL has advised all VFL and VFLW Clubs that this weekend’s scheduled matches in Victoria will not proceed, as a result of the state’s lockdown extension.

The Footscray Bulldogs were fixtured to meet Port Melbourne in round 15.

Three VFL games in Queensland will proceed however, with Aspley to host the Gold Coast SUNS, Southport to host Essendon, and the GWS GIANTS to take on Brisbane.

The fixture will continue to be a week-by-week proposition, and the AFL will continue to work with the Victorian Government and Health Officials on finding solutions for both VFL and VFLW.

Match-ups for remaining games will likely be changed to ensure games are played.
