Western Bulldogs foundation AFLW partner The Pancake Parlour has been announced as the Club’s first ever 10-season sponsor.

The Pancake Parlour has been by the side of the Bulldogs’ women’s team since they entered the AFLW competition in 2017, and will continue for a further four seasons after an extension of its agreement with the Club.

The Pancake Parlour is a Premier Partner of the Bulldogs, with its logo to feature on the top back of the Club’s guernseys in Season 7, along with the sleeves of the team’s media polo and the official media backdrop.

“We are incredibly proud to continue our partnership with the AFLW Western Bulldogs and becoming the Club’s first official 10-season AFLW partner,” said The Pancake Parlour CEO Mandy David.

“From day one we knew AFLW was such an important step in the ongoing quest for equality and inclusivity, not only in sport but in our culture. We’ve witnessed this filter through to the community level particularly in the western region, where we see the highest participation rate in women’s footy across the state.  Young girls and boys are aspiring to be like Ellie Blackburn!

“We share core values with the Western Bulldogs that extend beyond football into community health and wellness, workplace opportunities and the development of our future leaders.  Being able to be involved with the exceptional initiatives of the Club in the community space was paramount in our decision to extend.

“An invaluable alliance that we are forever inspired by.  We look forward to the seasons ahead with excitement and enthusiasm.”

The Pancake Parlour has been famous for its house-made pancakes and other sweet and savoury offerings for more than 50 years, with 12 locations now in operation across Melbourne as well as a licensee ‘The Pancake Kitchen’ at the Bulldogs’ second home in Ballarat.

“It’s a significant announcement for our club to know that The Pancake Parlour will continue to be closely aligned with our women’s football program for another four seasons, and 10 in total,” said Bulldogs CEO Ameet Bains.

“The Pancake Parlour has been with us since day one of the AFLW competition, and our relationship has grown stronger with each passing season.  They are a fantastic partner to be aligned with on many levels and their investment in our women’s program and women’s football extends far beyond a traditional partnership structure.

“On behalf of the Club I’d like to congratulate and thank Mandy David and her team for their ongoing support and passion.  We’re excited about what the next four seasons will bring for both organisations.”
