Footscray has bolstered its side with AFL talent for their round two meeting against the Lions.

The Bulldogs’ top selection from last year’s draft class, Jedd Busslinger, will line up for his first football game in over nine months after recovering from two shoulder reconstructions.

Ryan Gardner will also make his return from elbow surgery, while Tim O’Brien returns from a hamstring complaint.

The four AFL emergencies have also been included in Buku Khamis, Robbie McComb, Luke Cleary and Jordon Sweet.

Captain Lachie Sullivan will lead from the centre, while Tristan Maple is set to make his debut as the 23rd player.

The ‘Scray will host the Lions from 3.45pm at Marvel Stadium on Thursday afternoon, ahead of the AFL match at 7.20pm.

Gate 5 will be open from 3.30pm to accommodate patrons interested in attending, otherwise will be live-streamed via afl.com.au/vfl.

Score updates will also be available via @FootscrayVFL on Twitter.
