A bouncing castle, handball target games and face painting were just some of the activities at yesterday’s launch of the K9 Kidz Zone at Telstra Dome.

Hundreds of families took part in the free fun before the Bulldogs match against the Kangaroos outside Gate 5. The high energy interactive theme park was the perfect way for the Formosa family of Sunshine to start their match day experience.

Rick Formosa said he would bring his two children, Jamie and Chantel, back to the K9 Kidz Zone at future Bulldogs home games.

“My two kids had a ball. It’s great that we can come to the game a little bit earlier and have some fun. It certainly puts a smile on the kid’s faces before we’ve even got into the ground,” he said.

As well as a special visit from Club mascot Woofer, a handful of Bulldogs players joined in the action with the enthusiastic crowd.

Bulldogs player Easton Wood said it was great to see supporters enjoying themselves before the game.
“The kids are happy and so are the parents. There is something for everyone to get involved in,” he said.

The K9 Kidz Zone was presented by Bulldogs partner Victoria University, who were also yesterday's match day sponsor. Students enrolled in their remedial massage course also helped relieve some tension by going to work on some of the parents at their free massage station.

Fellow Club partner Victoria Police had a vehicle on display while Foxtel had interactive games in the area.
Around 250 children signed up for the K9 Club, a free club for kids that includes competitions, games and invitations to K9 Club events.
