The VFLW Bulldogs were defeated by Williamstown on Saturday morning at DSV Stadium.

The first of the Dogs-Seagulls’ double-header saw the Bulldogs wrestle control for half the match, although the hosts were too strong in the 5.5 (35) to 1.4 (10) affair.

Intense pressure across the field saw a low scoring opening half, with Imahra Cameron the first Bulldog on the board to bring the team in front by one point heading into halftime.

Despite the Bulldogs’ efforts, Williamstown wrestled back control in the third quarter by kicking three unanswered goals.

The Bulldogs were unable to effectively convert their chances in the final quarter, eventually going down by 25 points.

Continuing to impress in her ruck duties was Jorja Borg, totalling 34 hit outs and seven tackles.

Jaimi Tabb maintained intense pressure, reflected in her 15 tackles and ten disposals.

Leading the Bulldogs disposal count was Ellie Bishop bagging 15 touches, while next in line was Caitlin Pickett with 13.

The Bulldogs will look to achieve an optimal result when they host Carlton on Saturday 24 June at 11:00am at ETU Stadium.
