The VFLW Bulldogs were defeated by 29 points in their round 13 clash against Carlton on Saturday at ETU Stadium.

The Bulldogs hosted the Blues in the 2.2 (14) to 7.1 (43) affair.

Mary Sandral was first to draw blood against the Blues within the first five minutes of the match, before the Blues responded.

Despite the counter-attack, the Bulldogs remained resilient in their efforts across the field but the visitors were ultimately too strong, holding the home side to one goal until Jaimi Tabb delivered through the sticks in the final term.

The Bulldogs were persistent, but unfortunately the talent and efforts of the girls in red, white, and blue did not reflect on the scoreboard.

Making her return to the side, Sarah Skinner impressed totalling 21 disposals, three tackles and three clearances.

Returning from last weekend’s U23 All Stars match, Dominique Carbone was instrumental recording 19 touches, six tackles and four clearances.

Jorja Borg was strong with 39 hitouts.

Ashleigh Snow totalled 17 disposals, right behind her was Tahlia Meier with 15, and Tallia Pulcino landed eight tackles.

For their final match of the 2023 VFLW season, the Bulldogs will take on Essendon at 11am on Saturday 1 July at Windy Hill.
