The Western Bulldogs will celebrate another 50-gamer this weekend, with utility Anthony Scott set to bring up the half-century.

Scott was added to the Bulldogs’ list via the 2021 preseason supplementary period, and has not missed a game this season.

“Obviously being a bit of a different journey to get onto an AFL list, to play 50 games in two and a half years is pretty special to me,” Scott said.

“I was always in a little bit of a rush, having joined as a mature-age recruit.

“You walk in the door and you want to make a good first impression, but you also want to play as quickly as possible.

“I always felt like I was ready for AFL standard, so to come in and play and make an immediate impact when I joined is pretty awesome.”

Scott has been thrown around the ground in his 49 matches to date, most recently lining up in defence to help cover the losses from injuries.

“I’ve been doing it my whole time here – I’m happy to play the role the team requires of me,” he said.

“It was forward at the start of the year, then a little bit of wing and now down back the last couple of weeks. I’m happy to play all positions and think I’m capable, so that’s fine by me.”

The Bulldogs will host Fremantle in a new, two-week Kidzmania celebration this Saturday afternoon.

Scott encouraged all red, white and blue families to get down to Docklands.

“(Fremantle) have been playing some good footy the last couple of weeks. We already played them this year, and we’re able to get the choccies over in Perth so hopefully we can replicate that performance and get them at Marvel on our home turf,” he said.

“We love playing in front of our fans. Being school holidays as well, there’s no excuses to not bring the whole family down to Marvel on Saturday afternoon.

“We hope to see as many fans as we can.”
