The Western Bulldogs have acquired Pick 50 from Port Adelaide in exchange for ruckman Jordon Sweet.

Sweet requested a trade to his home state last month, with a deal agreed to between the two clubs on the final day of the 2023 Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period.

It now means the Bulldogs will head to the upcoming Draft with selections 5, 48, 50, 52, 53 56 and 69, adding further flexibility to their draft hand.

“We were obviously really keen to retain Jordon, but understand his decision to seek further opportunity and return home to South Australia,” said Bulldogs’ General Manager of List & Recruiting, Sam Power.

“Adding a third-round selection continues to strengthen our draft hand for the upcoming National Draft.

“We wish Jordon all the best as he continues his career with Port Adelaide.”

Sweet played 11 AFL games in the red, white and blue, after being drafted in 2018.
