The AFL Players Association has today revealed the Western Bulldogs’ nominees for AFLW Best First Year Player, Most Courageous Player and Best Captain.

2023 draftee Dom Carruthers is in the running for Best First Year Player, while vice-captain Kirsty Lamb is a chance for the Most Courageous Player award – which she won in season six.

Ellie Blackburn automatically qualifies for the Best Captain award, which she could win for a second time (2021).

Blackburn is also one of the Bulldogs’ three MVP nominees, alongside Elisabeth Georgostathis and Isabelle Pritchard.

The overall winners will be revealed on Tuesday 28 November.
