Sam Darcy

After bursting onto the scene in the closing weeks of his debut season, Sam Darcy endured an injury-interrupted 2023. From a stress fracture in his foot to a fractured jaw, the 20-year-old never really got the chance to back up those impressive early matches. Since then though he has returned to the Club in fine form and looks ready to burst back on the scene this year. Where he spends majority of his time on-field is yet to be seen, but his versatility will definitely prove an asset.

Liam Jones

Liam Jones was a welcome addition to the Bulldogs’ backline in 2023, and was arguably leading the Charles Sutton Medal by the midway point of the season. Unfortunately for him however, two fractures in his forearm just before the midseason bye meant he’d be sidelined for the next eight weeks. Luckily Jones returned late in the season to add four more games to his 2023 tally, but will no doubt be exciting to see what he can do with a full campaign.

Nick Coffield

Recruit Nick Coffield is another who’s endured an unlucky run at injuries, having not played since the final round of the 2021 season. He ruptured his ACL during the 2022 pre-season, and has since undergone hamstring surgery and recurrent calf strains, but arrives at the Kennel fit and firing. A childhood Bulldogs supporter, Coffield’s club debut will sure be one to look out for in 2024.

Ed Richards

Youngster Ed Richards enjoyed some career-best football last season, averaging 21.2 disposals, 5.6 marks and 431.4 metres gained from 19 games. There’s been visible improvement for the 24-year-old each year, and now entering the prime of his career looks likely to continue on that trajectory.
