At the Western Bulldogs we strive to provide an inclusive and equitable workplace for all and recognise that this is an ongoing process that requires continuous improvement and a genuine commitment to meaningful change.

We strongly believe in transparency and support WGEA’s publication of gender pay gap data as part of national efforts to advance gender equality. We accept that our median total remuneration gender pay gap is an aggregate measure of progress and therefore something that we need to address as a Club. We will use the data to help us form insights into any potential systemic issues related to workforce equity.

We acknowledge that women are underrepresented in senior roles in our football programs and are taking steps to address this. We are working to create additional pathways for more women to assume senior management roles across our organisation and will continue to maintain a minimum 50% female representation on both our Club and Foundation boards.

Our People & Culture team have rigorously challenged our recruitment processes to mitigate any potential bias. We carefully track and calibrate remuneration to ensure like for like roles receive the same pay – as is required by law - and regularly review recruitment policies, procedures and panel representation to ensure the fairest possible experience for all candidates.

We will continue to vigilantly ensure that our policies and working conditions are conducive to flexibility and inclusiveness. A key aspect of the development of our soon-to-be-completed new facilities has been the careful consideration of what is required to ensure every employee has what they need on site. We are also delighted that our Football Department facilities now accommodate both our men's and women's program simultaneously for the first time.

This is neither an exact science nor a quick fix. It is a generational challenge and lasting change will only be achieved through collective, all-of-Club efforts. We look forward to working with our key stakeholders and partners on this challenge and continuing to share our progress ongoing.
