The Western Bulldogs cruised to a 65-point victory over the Casey Demons in Round 4 of the rebel VFLW competition.

The Dogs led from start to finish in the one-sided affair at Mission Whitten Oval, enjoying a 11.13 (79) to 2.2 (14) result.

Elaine Grigg gave the home side the perfect start, getting out the back to kick a goal in just 27 seconds.

She followed it up with a classy right-foot snap just minutes later for her second.

But the moment of the day no doubt belonged to Dom Carruthers, who kicked one of the best goals of the year so far.

The speed demon sprinted with the ball towards the boundary and left Casey’s Meg Macdonald in her wake, before splitting Zoe Mitchell and Zara Klein like bowling pins and converting truly.

Carruthers proved it was no fluke, burning off Natalie Banjavcic-Mills en route to goal number two just minutes into the second quarter.

The Bulldogs were clinical in the first half, conceding just one goal in the second quarter to take a 36-point lead into the main break.

They continued this dominance, again holding Casey to just one goal in the second half, while piling on five of their own.

Emma McDonald (16 disposals, eight marks, two goals) showed outstanding forward craft, constantly presenting as a leading option.

Bri McFarlane was consistent across the day, finishing with three goals, while Brit Gutknecht (22 disposals, four marks), Keeley Hardingham (21 disposals, six marks) and Jess Fitzgerald (21 disposals, three tackles) led the way.

The Bulldogs will look to make it four straight wins when they meet North Melbourne Werribee at Arden Street Oval on Saturday 17 May.
