Bulldogs midfielder Adam Treloar will remain in red, white and blue after signing a one-year contract extension at Mission Whitten Oval.

The 32-year-old heads into a 16th season having playing 258 games across three clubs in GWS, Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs.

After claiming an All-Australian jacket in 2024, Treloar has been challenged by injury throughout 2025 and played in four AFL games this season.

On his most recent return, Treloar has been back to his ball-hunting best in the VFL and was among the best in Footscray’s prelim final victory over Box Hill on the weekend.

Treloar will suit up for the VFL Grand Final this weekend.

“I am super grateful to re-sign,” Treloar said. “There is nowhere else I’d rather be. The minute I walked into the footy club I felt loved and embraced.

“It feels like I have been here a lot longer than the five years and there is a lot of unfinished business from a personal and team perspective.

“It hasn’t been the year I have wanted individually but hopefully I can be a part of a very successful team in 2026.”

“I’ll always be someone that relishes the chance to represent the football club and to do that this week for Footscray in a Grand Final is exciting.”

“We’re going into this week really wanting to win the game and to be able to lift any silverware for the football club would be a great honour.”

Bulldogs Executive Manager Men’s Football Sam Power said he was excited to secure Treloar’s signature for another season.

“At his best, Adam is one of the most damaging midfielders in the competition and we’re really thrilled to have him sign on for 2026,” Power said.

“Despite difficulty through injury during this campaign, Adam has been diligent and resilient in his recovery from calf setbacks, while continuing to support our program though his leadership and standards.”

“His form and commitment in recent weeks through the VFL has shown Adam continues to have the attributes to influence games, giving our young players great exposure alongside an All-Australian calibre player.

“With a full pre-season on the horizon, we’re really confident as a Club that Adam can once again influence the AFL competition next season.”
