Aaron Naughton enjoyed a number of memorable moments in 2025, with his impact sure to be reflected in the upcoming Charles Sutton Medal count.

Naughton played every match of the 2025 campaign, averaging career-high goals (2.6) and disposals (11.8).

The 25-year-old was a constant threat up forward, and when paired alongside fellow tall Sam Darcy, created even more headaches for opposition defenders.

And while Naughton’s conversion rate came under external criticism some weeks, there was no denying his work rate and team-first mentality.

Naughton brought up his 150th milestone in Round 7 against the Giants, registering 14 touches, five marks, six score involvements and a major.

The West Aussie enjoyed a seven-goal haul – the highest of his career – later in the season against Essendon in Round 20, alongside 15 disposals, six marks and 11 score involvements.

He booted at least one goal in all but three games and enjoyed 15 outings with two or more majors.

Remarkably too, he booted 38 goals in 10 games after the mid-season bye, catapulting himself into fourth in the Coleman Medal leaderboard by season’s end.

A third-place finish in the 2022 Charles Sutton Medal count was the last time he polled on the podium, while a win in 2025 would mark the pinnacle of his 166-game career to date.
