Bulldogs’ livewire Arty Jones will remain in the red, white and blue after signing a three-year extension at the Kennel.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season for the Bulldogs and despite interest from other clubs has remained loyal to Mission Whitten Oval.
Drafted at Pick 43 in the 2021 AFL National Draft, Jones has become a fixture in Luke Beveridge’s side this season, with his pace and infectious energy developing him into a weapon inside forward 50.
Jones kicked a career-high 27 goals this year, playing 20 games during 2026.
“I am excited to stay in the red, white and blue for another three years,” Jones said.
“The relationships that I have here, it didn’t sit that well with me to leave. Feels like there is so much more I can give back to the Club in the Indigenous space and on the field, I am excited to see the Club grow.
“It feels like I have taken a big step this year, but I have a lot more to achieve.”
“I am just a small kid from a country town, you dream of playing on these stages and I am very fortunate to be in the position I am.
“The Dogs faithful have made such an impact on me – we love and appreciate the fans – playing this game is a massive privilege.”
Bulldogs Executive Manager Men’s Football Sam Power was pleased to lock away Jones beyond next season.
“We’re so proud of Arty’s development over the past few years and excited about the growth that still remains in his game,” Power said.
“Arty’s impact on our Club goes beyond the field, as he further develops into a leader for all young Indigenous footballers aspiring to reach the AFL.
“Having overcome his challenges with injury, Arty has shown that his pace, skill and pressure can impact games regularly, with his forward craft becoming a real asset for our side.
“He’s a much-loved member of our Club and our fans can look forward to seeing him in the red, white and blue for years to come.”
Jones joins Buku Khamis in committing long-term to the Bulldogs this week.
