The Western Bulldogs have welcomed competitive midfielder Mikala Cann from Collingwood in a three-club trade on AFLW Deadline Day.

As part of the arrangement, the Bulldogs have sent Pick 26 to the Magpies and their future third-rounder to Gold Coast. 

Collingwood and Gold Coast have then swapped Pick 17 and Pick 23.

A former basketballer, Cann has played 76 AFLW games since she was drafted with Pick 13 in 2018. 

While still only 25 years old, she will become the Bulldogs’ second-most experienced player behind vice-captain Ellie Blackburn.

The Bulldogs currently hold picks 8, 44, 62 and 80 ahead of Monday’s AFLW Draft.
