Western Bulldogs defender Rory Lobb has been named to represent Western Australia in next year’s AAMI AFL Origin match at Optus Stadium.

The 32-year-old joins fellow Bulldog Aaron Naughton in the ‘Black Swans’ squad, which now sits at 21 players.

He has played 59 of his 199 games in the red, white and blue since crossing from Fremantle in 2022.

His AFL career started at the Giants in 2014.

Lobb will likely take on fellow teammate-turned-opposition Sam Darcy in the clash, with the third-generation State of Origin player to front up for the ‘Big V’.

The remaining squad members for Western Australia will be announced early next year as the highly anticipated return of Origin football draws closer.

The 2026 AAMI AFL Origin game will be broadcast on Channel 7 and Fox, as well as 7Plus and Kayo.

The match will begin at 4:40pm AWST / 7:40pm AEDT on Saturday 14 February 2026.
