The Western Bulldogs Board for 2026 has tonight been confirmed at the Annual General Meeting held at Mission Whitten Oval.
Peter Landos was ratified as an Elected Director, replacing Mark Evans who has retired after serving his full tenure under the Club’s constitution.
Landos is a dedicated Western Bulldogs member with long-standing ties to the western suburbs.
He is the current Chief Operating Officer of Thorney Investment Group, and brings over 30 years of financial, business and corporate governance experience to the Board.
Landos will also serve as the new Chair of the Club’s Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee.
Luke Darcy has also been re-elected to the Board after first being appointed in 2020, overseeing the football program as a Director.
President Kylie Watson-Wheeler paid tribute to the outgoing Evans while welcoming Landos.
“Over the past decade, Mark has provided our Board with brilliant expertise and counsel across finance and risk management, always having the Club’s best interests at the forefront of decision making,” Watson-Wheeler said.
“Mark’s contribution during the COVID affected years was of particular significance in helping the Club navigate through those unsettling and unprecedented times."
“We welcome Peter Landos as the Board’s Chair of the Club’s Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee, bringing more than 30 years of experience in the business and financial world.”
“We’re thankful to Luke Darcy who will continue as Director, with his guidance and counsel, especially on football matters, an invaluable source of support."
The AGM also saw Life Memberships bestowed upon current players Aaron Naughton, Tim English and Deanna Berry, AFL Premiership player Zaine Cordy and AFLW Premiership player Naomi Ferres.
Head of Sports Medicine Chris Bell was also inducted following 12 years of service, as were Craig Bain, Robyn Dunlevy and Heather McPherson.
Life Membership at the Club is open to players, directors, staff, volunteers and others who meet a set of criteria determined by the Life Membership and Awards Committee.
As of 2025, there are over 400 Life Members of the Club.
