Bulldogs livewire Rhylee West has committed his future to the Kennel and will wear the red, white and blue until at least the end of the 2030 season.

The four-year commitment from the No.14 is the perfect news for Bulldogs fans ahead of the 2026 campaign as he joins a raft of talent that have pledged their future to Mission Whitten Oval.

West enjoyed a standout campaign last season, finishing in the Charles Sutton Medal Top 10 after kicking 39 goals through 23 games.

The 25-year-old was selected at Pick 26 in the 2018 National Draft as a father-son selection, making his debut the following season.

West said he was thrilled to remain at his boyhood club for another four seasons.

“I love the footy club – it was an easy decision,” West said.

“I’ve been here eight years and have established a lot of great friendships and lifetime memories. I can’t wait for the next four years.

“I feel like I am beginning to establish myself and play some consistent football in the forward line. I just want to add as much as I can for the team and try to do some special things as a group.

“The Club is in a really good spot at the moment – we’ve got some great leaders and a strong list. There is a lot of belief in this team and we’re excited for what is to come.”

Executive Manager Men’s Football, Sam Power was pleased to have West commit to the Club.

“Rhylee is a really important part of our Club for now and for the future,” Power said.

“Taking his game to another level last season was really pleasing, hitting the scoreboard regularly and proving a barometer for our forward line across multiple games.

“As a really popular teammate, Rhylee has shown terrific growth as a leader and role model for our younger cohort, bringing consistency and reliability to his role.

“At 25, we believe Rhylee’s best football is still ahead of him and our fans should be excited about the next four seasons for our No.14.”
