Footscray has finalised its list for the 2026 Smithy’s VFL Season, welcoming Tom McGuane, Liam Edwards and Ged Saunders to the red, white and blue.
McGuane arrives at the Kennel as a midfielder/wing from Western Jets, who is also the son of 152-game Collingwood Premiership player Mick.
Midfielder Edwards and small defender Saunders have both arrived from St Kevins VAFA, where the duo played a mix of senior and under-19s football in 2025.
Familiar face Jarrod Gilbee also returns for his sixth season, joining Dan Orgill, Cooper Craig-Peters and Billy Crofts among 13 key re-signings.
As announced last month, current development coach Jack Billings and Next Generation Academy prospect Kobe Williams will also feature for the ‘Scray this year.
