The good, the not so good, the exhilarating, the heartbreaking… we’ve taken a look at the Moments That Mattered during the AFL season.

From now until the full playing group returns for the start of pre-season on November 25, westernbulldogs.com.au will count down 19 moments that had a big impact in 2019.

Lock him in.

We’ve spoken about player re-signings in this countdown.

Now it’s time for the coach.

Luke Beveridge added another three years to his contract in July, to remain our leader until the end of 2023.

It’s a big deal.

Even if it was a slightly low-key announcement, with the great man himself confirming he had extended his tenure as the Bulldogs’ coach midway through one of his weekly press conferences.

Bevo’s coaching record speaks for itself.

Five years as senior coach, three of those leading to finals appearances.

A winning percentage of more than 55 per cent – with 64 victories from 116 matches.

But most importantly, he is a strong leader of our football club who has great relationships with his players and the wider Bulldogs community.

The future looks bright with Bevo at the helm.
