Amaia Wain will make her AFLW debut in the Dogs’ season opener on Saturday night against the Gold Coast Suns.
The young tall was picked up from the Sydney Swans Academy in the 2026 pre-season supplementary draft just 14 weeks ago.
The 18-year-old ruck featured in two of the Bulldogs’ pre-season match simulations, demonstrating versatility and athleticism while providing a strong contest in the air.
She also registered 13 disposals and two marks in her VFLW debut against Sandringham.
The remainder of the Bulldogs’ Round 1 team will be announced at 6:20pm on Thursday.
The Dogs will meet the Suns at People First Stadium from 7:15pm on Saturday, with the match to be broadcast live and free via 7mate, Fox Sports and Kayo.
