Midfield duo Marcus Bontempelli and Ed Richards have had their stellar 2026 campaigns recognised with inclusions in the All Australian squad of 46.

If selected in the final team, it would be Bontempelli’s eighth blazer and Richards’ second.

The Bulldogs skipper continues to reinforce his status as one of the competition’s very best, averaging 26.3 disposals at 73.4% disposal efficiency from 22 games this season.

After a breakout 2025 campaign, Richards has further enhanced his credentials with a career-high average 26 disposals, 4.4 tackles and 6.8 inside 50s.

The final All Australian team will be named during Tuesday night’s AFL Awards, broadcast exclusively on Fox Footy.

The official 2026 All-Australian selection panel comprises of: Andrew Dillon (Chair), Eddie Betts, Jude Bolton, Simon Black, Abbey Holmes, Glen Jakovich, Laura Kane, David Mundy, Joel Selwood and Greg Swann.
