Western Bulldogs midfielder Matt Kennedy will miss the upcoming Elimination Final after suffering a concussion in Friday’s victory over Collingwood.

Kennedy remains in concussion protocols.

“In the fourth quarter of the Wildcard game, Matt Kennedy put his head over the ball and unfortunately had a head clash that caused some concussion symptoms,” Head of Sports Medicine, Chris Bell said.

He was immediately ruled out of the game and entered our concussion protocols. Matt will work diligently with our medical and rehabilitation teams across the next period of time to determine his return to play plan.”

Meanwhile, Oskar Baker will also be unavailable for the trip to Adelaide, suffering a hamstring injury at training last week.

“In our main training session, Oscar Baker went to accelerate and felt some localised tightness in his hamstring,” Bell said.

“Scans have confirmed a low-grade hamstring strain. Oscar will miss at least the next two games but will be optimistically attacking his return to play plan in an effort to put his name up for selection at the back end of our finals series.”

Tom Liberatore continues to recover from minor surgery on his knee, with his return to play yet to be confirmed.
