The Hampson-Hardeman Cup will return this Saturday night when the Western Bulldogs host Melbourne in Round 11 at Mission Whitten Oval.

Named in honour of Bob Hampson and Lisa Hardeman, two pioneers of women’s football, the Cup was established by the two clubs for the inaugural women’ s football exhibition match held at the MCG in 2013.

The matches were played annually over four years, prior to the inception of the national league in 2017.

The Cup remains in Melbourne’s possession following an opening round win last season.

The match will start at 7:15pm AEDT and be broadcast via 7 Two / 7 Plus as well as Foxtel and Kayo.
