The Western Bulldogs were again a fan favourite this, with the Club featuring in three of the ten most watched AFL games of the 2017 home and away season according to combined figures from Channel Seven and Fox Footy.

The Club’s Round Six clash with Greater Western Sydney in Canberra was the fourth most watched game of the season, attracting 1.246 million viewers, only five thousand out of third spot and 300,000 less than the traditional Anzac Day game in April. 

The Round Nine trip to Geelong was sixth on the list with 1.239 million, while the Round 23 farewell of legends Robert Murphy, Matthew Boyd and Hawthorn’s Luke Hodge was tenth.

Only the Sydney Swans featured in the list more often, with five appearances.
