Ash Hansen has been in charge of the Bulldogs’ forwards for the past four seasons.

He joined the Bulldogs’ coaching team ahead of the 2013 season and has held multiple roles across his eight seasons with the Club.

Hansen was development coach in 2013-14, before becoming Footscray’s senior coach for 2015-16 – leading the team to the VFL premiership in 2016.

He moved into the AFL assistant coaching space ahead of the 2017 season as forward line coach, and from 2019 was elevated into the offensive systems and forwards role.

The 37-year-old was a member of West Coast’s 2006 premiership team, playing 78 AFL games for the Club between 2004-10.

He is currently part of the AFL’s Level 4 coaching program and holds a Masters degree in strength and conditioning.
