Garry Johnson has been providing support to the Western Bulldogs for over 30 years as one of the Club's most generous benefactors.

When Club president Peter Gordon asked several of the Club's backers to make a greater contribution to the Bulldogs cause in 2013, Johnson was one the first to say yes, and the last four years in particular have seen Johnson's generosity help to make the Bulldogs financially competitive in a way not seen before.

Close friend and fellow Bulldog benefactor Alan Johnstone says that Johnson has been a generous and loyal Bulldogs man for many, many years.

Johnson was born a Bulldog, his mother Lorna growing up in Footscray, where Garry also spent many of his formative years.

Johnson was at the MCG with his mother and his bother Darryl when Footscray broke though to win its first VFL flag in 1954, and no one was more elated than Garry to see the Western Bulldogs win another premiership in 2016.
