A virtual cheer squad of 1000 Western Bulldogs fans will be at Marvel Stadium as a visual show of support for the team for each of its remaining 2020 home games at the venue.

While fans won’t be able to physically attend AFL matches for the time being due to coronavirus restrictions, the Bulldogs are offering the chance for members to have their photo appear on a cardboard cut-out.

And thanks to the Club’s new Coaches Partner, PEDIGREE®, the opportunity will be offered free and exclusively for Bulldogs members.

The cut-outs will be placed behind the goals at the Footscray end of Marvel Stadium - the traditional spot for the Bulldogs’ cheer squad on match-days.

The Club worked closely with Melbourne based agency Spike Creative, and fan marketing partner Tradable Bits, to bring the concept to life.

The first appearance for the Bulldogs’ virtual cheer squad will be at the Club’s Round 3 game against GWS on Friday, June 19.

To be eligible, entrants must have a 2020 Bulldogs membership and upload a photo of themselves in Bulldogs gear before midnight on Saturday, June 6.

All photos are subject to approval by the Western Bulldogs.
