The Western Bulldogs today launched a new online retail platform to support Club sponsors, coterie partners and local businesses in what is a first for the AFL and its clubs.

To be known as Bulldogs Marketplace, the website will host a broad range of products, offers and services from across the Club’s partner network, and with a focus on supporting businesses in Melbourne’s West.

The Club’s own apparel and merchandise range will also be integrated into the new platform, enabling a single online shopping destination for Bulldogs members, fans and the wider community.

In addition to facilitating direct online sales, the platform will also drive customer lead generation for participating partners and brands.

Western Bulldogs CEO Ameet Bains said Bulldogs Marketplace provided a unique opportunity to support the many businesses that continued to support the Club.

“We acknowledge it’s been a difficult time for many local businesses and brands in our wider partner family and we wanted to find a way to play our role in supporting the many organisations that continue to support the Club,” Bains said.

“Bulldogs Marketplace enables us to create an additional online sales resource for our commercial partners, coterie groups and local businesses, reaching a highly engaged, passionate and loyal audience.

“Supporting our partners in this way will directly support the Club and we encourage all Bulldogs fans and members to visit the site as new offers and participating brands are added over the coming weeks.”

The Club has developed the new platform in partnership with industry leading e-commerce and technology provider Marketplacer, known for their work with brands including Bike Exchange, Myer and Jayco, among others.
