Finals football comes to Victoria University Whitten Oval this Sunday, with the Footscray Bulldogs to host western suburban rivals Williamstown for a VFL Preliminary Final berth.

Ranked second and third on the VFL ladder at the end of the home and away season, both sides finished with 14 wins, and were only separated by percentage.

Both Footscray and the Seagulls head into Sunday’s finals with an unblemished form line this past month having both won their past five consecutive games.

The two teams last faced-off in round two with Williamstown claiming victory by 41-points in blustery conditions at Burbank Oval.

The Bulldogs are encouraging all members and fans to attend the VFL Qualifying Final before heading to Etihad Stadium to farewell Daniel Giansiracusa in the AFL game against GWS Giants.
