Williamstown have clinched their tenth straight Western Derby, defeating crosstown rivals Werribee by 83 points at Burbank Oval on Sunday.
The Seagulls burst out of the blocks and never looked back, booting six unanswered goals in the first term en route to a 19.15 (129) to 5.16 (46) victory.
Werribee challenged for much of the second term as they pressured and harassed the Seagulls into making mistakes, but the away side were wasteful in front of goal for the term, booting 2.6.
Despite the Tigers’ best efforts, Williamstown still proved dangerous in their attacking half, with Fletcher Roberts and Stephen McCallum replying quickly with two consecutive goals to steady the ship.
After half-time Williamstown were able to regain dominance around the ground, while the Seagulls midfield brigade of Ben Jolley, Willie Wheeler, Stephen McCallum and ruckman Cameron Wood looked an imposing outfit both in the middle and up forward.
Bulldog Patrick Veszpremi was also prominent, accumulating 37 disposals and kicking three goals by breaking the lines and pushing forward when the chance presented itself.
The Williamstown defenders were also dour in their approach again, restricting Werribee to just five goals for the match.
Key defenders Mark Austin, Stephen Witkowski and Michael Talia all acquitted themselves well behind the ball, with the latter sneaking forward in the final term to slot a running goal from outside 50.
This week Williamstown travel to Casey Fields to take on the undefeated Casey Scorpions in what should be a great contest as the Seagulls look to win their first match away from home for the year.

Development Match
An undefeated Williamstown further consolidated their place at the top of the development league ladder, with a comprehensive victory over Werribee Tigers at Burbank Oval on Sunday.
Two goals in the opening two minutes by the Seagulls set the tone for the day, as they went on to record a 28.21 (189) to 5.7 (37) win.
Williamstown proved to be too strong around the ground and went forward with great efficiency, kicking 28 goals for the match, which included nine multiple goal-kickers.
Lachlan Hunter and Anton Woods set the tone in the middle early, getting in first for the football and dishing it out to teammates, while up forward key targets Simon Deery and Ben Casley provided a great presence, booting four goals each and working well in tandem.
The Seagulls development side will also face the Casey Scorpions next week in a curtain-raiser to the seniors match.
