The Western Bulldogs’ impressive win over Sydney on Thursday night has come at a cost, with forwards Aaron Naughton and Sam Lloyd set for stints on the sidelines through injury.

Naughton will undergo surgery after being diagnosed with a syndesmosis injury to his left ankle, which he suffered late in the first quarter of the game at the SCG.

While his return to play timeline will be based on the outcome of the operation, at this stage he is expected to miss at least six weeks.

Lloyd will also have surgery - to repair a broken collarbone - after he fell heavily in the third quarter.

The Club will determine Lloyd’s rehabilitation timeframe following the procedure.
