Last Friday, the AFL confirmed that all 10 Victorian clubs would travel interstate away from Victoria to continue their 2020 AFL Premiership Season campaigns.

The Western Bulldogs are one of five Victoria clubs that will relocate to the Gold Coast, alongside North Melbourne, Richmond, Essendon and Carlton.

Set to stay at the Mecure Gold Coast, the Bulldogs flew out on Monday lunchtime from Melbourne.

Luke Beveridge addressed the playing group after Saturday night's win over North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium, detailing the adventure and opportunity that awaits his side.

In an interview on Channel Nine's Sunday Footy Show, key forward Josh Bruce spoke of how he would be joined in the Queensland hub by his wife Pip and daughter Poppy. Bruce and his wide are expecting their second child later in the year. Teammates including Jason Johannisen, Jackson Trengove, Mitch Wallis and Easton Wood will also be joined by their young families for the stint in Queensland.

However the Bulldogs didn't have the flight all to themselves, with reigning premiers Richmond sitting across the aisle for the trip North.

Meanwhile, as the team were in the air, the Club confirmed that it would challenge Hayden Crozier's one-match suspension for rough conduct at the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night.

The players too shared their perspective on the flight north.

And finally after touching down on the Gold Coast, the team made their way to their new base for the next month. Watch the clip below as Bulldogs Media recaps the day of travel, from VU Whitten Oval to the Gold Coast hub.
