Clay Smith has accepted a one-match sanction from the Match Review Panel for engaging in rough conduct against the Gold Coast Suns’s Luke Russell on Sunday.

The incident was cited in the second quarter of the Western Bulldogs clash against the Suns in round ten.

The conduct was assessed as reckless conduct (two points), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points).

The result draws a total of five activation points, resulting in a classification of a level two offence, drawing 225 demerit points and a two-match sanction – reduced to one match with Smith’s early plea.

Smith will be ineligible to play in the Bulldogs round 11 clash against Fremantle on Sunday 1 June 2014 at Etihad Stadium.
