The Western Bulldogs are pleased to announce the signing of free agent Hayden Mozier.

The 26-year-old – who bears a striking resemblance to high-flying defender Hayden Crozier – has burst onto the scene over the past month.

Since the start of Movember, Mozier has proven himself to be a strong-bodied performer who knows how to avoid close shaves.

“The ‘mo’ is going well so far this year,” Mozier told westernbulldogs.com.au.

“I’ve just let it grow and a lot of the boys have embraced it.

“I thought about a handlebar at the start of the year, but I wasn’t courageous enough to pull it off. I’ve gone the normal moustache the last couple of years, so next year I might go all out.”

Mozier said he had taken inspiration from the likes of teammates and fellow Movember ambassadors Tom Liberatore and Lin Jong – but singled out Josh Dunkley as a bro who struggles to grow a mo.

“It’s been funny coming to the club when Jongy and Libba have been there as well,” Mozier said.

“They get pretty strong ‘mo’ growth, which is positive’.

“Overall, the feedback from the boys has been really good. A lot of the boys have said I should keep it. Personally I don’t think I’ll be keeping mine past the end of Movember.”

Mozier’s fundraising tally this Movember is closing in on $1,000. He’s seeking any donations to help a good cause.

“The work Movember does in raising awareness for men’s health is outstanding and it’s a charity I’m really passionate about,” he said.

“It’s something we’ve been trying to drive a lot more in the last couple of years, particularly with mental health and being able to have conversations with your mates if you’re not feeling okay or getting your prostate checked which is really important.”
