The fourth edition of the Western Bulldogs AFLW Pride guernsey explores important themes of inclusion and progression.

The striking and impactful design will be worn by the Bulldogs in their annual Pride Game against Carlton this Friday night at VU Whitten Oval.

It will be the fourth straight year the Bulldogs and Blues will come together for premiership points in a game which recognises and supports the LGBTIQA+ community by celebrating inclusiveness, gender diversity, and welcoming all people, no matter their sexual orientation.

For the third consecutive year the Bulldogs’ Pride guernsey design was created Natalie Gills, who worked closely with the Club’s official Pride supporter group, Bulldog Pride

“By doing some research and getting some guidance from Bulldog Pride, I was able to get more of a grasp on how diverse the LGBTIQA+ community really is,” Gills said.

It was important to create a design which shines a light on that diversity, and is a true representation of inclusion and acceptance.

I’m so humbled to have the design worn by the players on Friday night.  There is a lot meaning and connection to these flags for many in our community, and it’s an opportunity for people to learn more about them.

The guernsey design features the integration of all the different LGBTIQA+ flag colour representations in the form of the Bulldogs hoops.

In the top panel, the progress pride flag stands as a proud statement of the Club’s commitment to inclusion and progression.
