The Western Bulldogs have been dealt their first loss of the 2021 rebel VFLW season, going down to North Melbourne by 21 points at Arden Street Oval on Sunday morning.

The Bulldogs started strongly and took the slimmest of margins into half-time, but it was all North after that in a low-scoring affair.

AFLW-listed Bulldog Nell Morris-Dalton contributed with one goal, while Brit Gutknecht did her best in trying conditions.

Megan Chadwick kicked the Bulldogs’ second goal of the match halfway through the second, which also ended up being their last score of the morning.

The VFLW Bulldogs now sit with a win-loss record of 1-1, having opened their season with a 36-point win over the Hawks last weekend.

The 2021 rebel VFLW fixture for round three will be announced throughout the week.
