The Western Bulldogs have revealed their team for a Friday night blockbuster against Collingwood at the MCG, to kick off the 2021 season.

As confirmed on Wednesday, the Bulldogs will unveil off-season recruits Adam Treloar and Stefan Martin.

Two players will make their AFL debuts – Anthony Scott and Lachie McNeil.

14:45

Both featured in the Bulldogs’ scratch match against Hawthorn and AAMI Community Series match against Melbourne.

Scott, 25, has come through the Footscray VFL program. The versatile left-footer has slotted into the Bulldogs’ back line since being signed as part of the AFL’s supplemental selection period.

McNeil joined the Bulldogs with pick 11 in last year’s rookie draft, with the speedy 19-year-old from South Australia slotting into a midfield-forward role.

BUY TICKETS | Tickets are still available to Friday night’s match but must be pre-purchased online via Ticketek. There will be no sales at the gate.

Experienced defender Taylor Duryea has also been named in the senior side.

The 29-year-old didn’t feature in the Bulldogs’ AAMI Series match, but starred in the corresponding VFL practice game, and comes in for the injured Hayden Crozier (shoulder).

Zaine Cordy, Josh Schache, Rhylee West and Jason Johannisen are the emergencies.

07:23

The Bulldogs will select one emergency to be the ‘medical sub’ – which will be announced one hour prior to the game.

Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs will again play for the Robert Rose Cup. The trophy is named in honour of the former Footscray and Collingwood player, who passed away in 1999.

The Bob Rose-Charlie Sutton Medal will be awarded to the player in the match who best exemplifies the qualities that Rose and Sutton become renowned for during their careers – toughness, skill, courage, leadership, teamwork and sportsmanship.

MERCHANDISE + MEMBERSHIP | On Friday night, The Bulldogs Shop will be located outside Gate 2 at the MCG. Membership assistance will be available at the Gate 3A ticket window.
