The Western Bulldogs have accepted the one-match suspension offered to defender Caleb Daniel by the AFL Match Review Officer.

Daniel will miss Saturday’s round five match against the Gold Coast Suns at Marvel Stadium.

The Bulldogs’ reigning Charles Sutton Medallist was charged with engaging in rough conduct, for a dangerous tackle against Thomas Berry in the first quarter of Saturday’s 19-point win against the Brisbane Lions in Ballarat.

The incident was assessed as careless conduct, medium impact and high contact.

Daniel was able to accept a one-match ban for a first offence, with an early guilty plea.
