Lewis Young
19 disposals, eight marks, two inside-50s, three rebound-50s
“’Lewy’ was obviously coming back from the AFL side, and we looked a lot stronger with him in our back half. He still has some building blocks we’re working through, but it was good to see him implement some things he’s learnt from those senior games.”

Mitch Wallis
23 disposals, five marks, three tackles
“We got Mitch up into the midfield in the second half which was great. He was able to generate momentum for us going forward – his grunt work was great for us in helping gain territory and hold it in our forward line.”

Josh Schache
13 disposals, eight marks, two tackles, one goal
“Josh’s work rate underpins everything. He’s in a nice bit of form at the moment, and hopefully he can keep pushing forward and chuck his name up there for AFL selection. Big forwards play big, and that’s what he did.”

Rhylee West
25 disposals, seven marks, five tackles, four inside-50s, three goals
“Along with ‘Lippa’ (Patrick Lipinski), ‘Westy’ was probably our most influential player. When he did go forward with ‘Wally’ (Mitch Wallis) getting that territory, it allowed ‘Westy’ to play a bit deeper. He got the right match-ups and made the most of it finishing on the scoreboard.”

Louis Butler
20 disposals, six marks, three tackles, four inside-50s, two goals
“Louis’ run, holding his width out on the wing and using his running capabilities to really put teams to the sword was great. He’s making massive gains – I’m really impressed with how he’s going.”

Cody Weightman
17 disposals, seven marks, four tackles, three inside-50s, one goal
“Cody did some really nice things. He’s nice and clean when he does get the footy, and he does open up a fair bit of play. I’m really loving his inside work, and then for him to get from inside to outside is very impressive as well.”

Jamarra Ugle-Hagan
Nine disposals (eight contested), three marks, five goals
“’Marra’ got on the end of a fair few scoring chains for us. Like ‘Schach’, when he plays big, good things generally happen. On the flip side for him, it’s when the ball hits the ground – he makes it pretty nerve-wracking for defenders. He’s progressing nicely.”

Buku Khamis
18 disposals, 11 marks, six rebound-50s
“Buku was really good again. He got into some nice, assertive positioning and was able to intercept a fair few and generate our rebounds. It was another solid performance.”

Ben Cavarra
20 disposals, seven marks, six inside-50s, one goal
“It was a workman-like performance from ‘Cav’. He played a few different roles for us, but his general love for the team and helping his teammates out was good again. Hopefully he keeps continuing on with that.”

Dom Bedendo
Nine disposals, five marks, four inside-50s, two goals
“’Dommy’ probably had his best impact for our team. It was good to see him fly for his marks and compete, and get his hands dirty. He’s growing session by session.”

Patrick Lipinski
35 disposals, six marks, four tackles, three inside-50s, one goal
“’Lippa’ was probably our standout for the game, along with ‘Westy’ (Rhylee West). Coming back from the AFL side, he just looked very polished – he’s one that can play multiple roles, and has that class which rose to the top.”

Mitch Hannan
13 disposals, three marks, three goals
“Mitch’s speed was electric, especially in the forward half. To be able to turn 1v1’s into wins and generate forward-half turnovers and scoring opportunities was great. ‘Marra’ (Jamarra Ugle-Hagan) ended up getting on the end of those, so Mitch helped play a role in his output. He’s been important for us the last couple of weeks.”

Will Hayes
28 disposals, four marks, five inside-50s
“’Hayesy’ was great. Like Louis (Butler), he is starting to use his running capacity to his advantage, and really generate those sling-shot rebounds for us. Again, he just needs to keep continuing building on that half-back role and adding another string to his bow.”

Riley Garcia
19 disposals, seven tackles, four inside-50s
“’Sunny’ was good. I love his grunt and actual willingness to get back from inside to outside. He’s the best I’ve come across for a guy with very limited exposure. He just needs to keep working on his craft, but he’s an exciting prospect to watch.”

Jordon Sweet
13 disposals, six marks, two goals, 37 hitouts
“’Sweety’ was good again for us – as a big body he was able to get the ball into areas for our mids to go to work. Especially in that second half – to get momentum going forward for us really did help us get that field positioning. It was another good game from ‘Sweety’.”
