The Western Bulldogs will not take part in the 2021 NAB AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft on Wednesday night.

The Bulldogs do not have a list spot available to select a player.

Following the retirement of Sam Lloyd in December 2020, the Bulldogs added Footscray VFL product Anthony Scott to the rookie list through the 2021 supplementary selection period.

Scott has played 10 of the Bulldogs’ 11 AFL matches this year.

With no further retirements, or season-ending injuries, the Bulldogs are unable to open up a list spot to select a player.

The mid-season rookie draft has seen 602 players from across Australia nominate for selection.

It will be broadcast live on AFL.com.au and the AFL Live App from 6.30pm AEST on Wednesday, with the draft to commence at 7pm.
