Key forward Aaron Naughton is enjoying some impressive form this season.

Fresh off his four-goal haul against West Coast over the weekend – which included three in the last quarter alone – Naughton has tallied 33 goals from 14 games.

It’s a career-high for the 21-year-old, having broken his previous record of 32 goals from 23 games during the 2019 season.

This year, he has registered at least two goals on 11 separate occasions, and has only gone one game without hitting the scoreboard.

That game was the narrow loss to Geelong – where he was subbed out with rib concerns at half-time.

Naughton’s greatest scalp this season came in round 10 vs St Kilda, where he put five through the big sticks to finish with 5.4.

With eight games still remaining plus finals, Naughton still has ample opportunity to set an even greater personal best.

If he wants a crack at the Club’s leading goalkicker award, he’ll need to catch fellow key forward Josh Bruce though, who currently leads with 37 majors.
