The Western Bulldogs have used more players than any team in the competition this season.

Over their 16 games, the Bulldogs have fielded 41 out of the 43 players on the list.

It’s a sign of the Bulldogs’ depth and an impressive stat considering their win-loss record stands at 12-4, and they’re currently sitting in second place on the ladder.

In comparison, ladder-leaders Melbourne have used just 32 players, while fellow top-four teams Geelong and Brisbane have had 34 and 31 players respectively.

The Bulldogs debuted their sixth first-gamer over the weekend in Jamarra Ugle-Hagan, having also handed Anthony Scott (round one), Lachie McNeil (round one), Jordon Sweet (round five), Buku Khamis (round eight), and Riley Garcia (round 11) debuts this season.

Only three clubs have had more debutants this season – Hawthorn (eight), Adelaide Crows (seven) and Collingwood (seven). Essendon has also had six debutants in 2021.

Eight Dogs have played all 16 games, including skipper Marcus Bontempelli, and fellow midfielders Jack Macrae, Tom Liberatore and Bailey Smith. Defensive trio Bailey Dale, Alex Keath and Taylor Duryea, plus clubhouse leading goalkicker Josh Bruce round out the list.
