A two-time All-Australian defender with clean, quick hands and good agility, Dale arrived at the Kennel via a third-round selection (Pick 45 overall) in 2014. After making his senior debut in Round 7, 2015, Dale played a further nine games in his first year. A member of the Footscray Bulldogs' 2016 VFL Premiership team, a pre-season switch from forward to back paid dividends, and is where the reliable and rebounding defender remains to this day. Averaged 27 disposals and 546 metres gained in 2025.
